About This Opportunity

This Scholarship was established by the School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney to support postgraduate students with outstanding academic ability to spend 6 months full-time in an industry setting, undertaking high-level investigative and research projects during the course of their studies through COMP5802: Work Integrated Research Project. The Scholarship is funded by the NSW Department of Customer Service for industry placement with the NSW Data Analytics Centre or the Behavioural Insights Unit related to data analytics, data science or data engineering projects. The scholarship provides $25,000 in support and the placement duration is 26 weeks. Recipients must be domestic students enrolled in either the Master of Data Science or Master of Computer Science programs, have completed at least 48 credit points, and maintained a distinction average (WAM of 75 or above). The placement does not create an employment relationship but provides invaluable industry experience in data science and analytics fields.

Review process
