About this opportunity
The Work Production Fund supports the development and production of new works with a specific public performance in mind. The fund can support both work commissions from external commissioners and productions for which the composer him or herself is responsible and where the development of his/her own work is part of production. The fund also provides support for preliminary projects for a larger production where a written agreement is in place, such as a musical drama, a film composition or a large sound installation. The fund is based on the principles of Fair Practice and aims to strengthen the conditions for the development and production of new music and sound art works and their encounter with the audience. The goal is to contribute to the development of strong works of lasting value that contribute to a viable working life for composers and sound artists throughout their careers.
