About This Opportunity

The Legacy of Skilled Excellence Scholarship is designed to honour the immense contributions and leadership of Terry Cooke in promoting skilled trade and technology careers to young people in Alberta, and across the globe. This scholarship recognizes students who have exemplified exceptional dedication and talent in their trade or technology skill area. The scholarship is awarded to the top scoring secondary student on Team Alberta at the Skills Canada National Competition in their chosen field. This scholarship is sponsored by WorldSkills Calgary 2009 and has been funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. Recipients can receive $5,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years to support their post-secondary education at a publicly funded institution in Alberta.
