About this opportunity
The Wounded Warriors Doctoral Scholarship Fund was established to fund an annual fellowship to a PhD-level student enrolled in any eligible graduate program in a CIMVHR partner university, supervised by a recognized CIMVHR researcher, with a demonstrated research interest in military, Veteran and family health in Canada. The scholarship provides funding in years three and four of the doctoral program, after the comprehensive examinations have been passed and when students are conducting the research for their dissertation. One scholarship is awarded annually to a PhD candidate who demonstrates excellence in their proposed research while exhibiting significant potential for a high impact career in military, Veteran and family health research. The successful candidate is expected to meet wounded Veterans to ensure a better understanding of the impact of their work, complete progress reports, submit abstracts to present research at CIMVHR's annual Forum, and acknowledge CIMVHR and Wounded Warriors Canada as sources of funding in all presentations and publications.
