About this opportunity
The Wrexham Community Endowment Fund is an umbrella of Funds and donations dedicated to enhancing education and strengthening communities in Wrexham. The Fund has two main objectives. Fund Objective 1 aims to encourage, support and promote non-statutory educational attainment and lifelong learning, including early years, with priorities including projects that support educational development of school aged children and young people, early years education, school based health and healthy living projects, educational attainment including lifelong learning, and education inclusion projects with support for talented individual students through scholarships, prizes and educational resources. Fund Objective 2 seeks to encourage, support and promote spiritual wellbeing and improve the lives of people with limited resources, with priorities including projects that promote safer and more inclusive communities, sustainable environment and neighbourhoods, supporting older people, working with children and young people, encouraging improved health and wellbeing, and culture, heritage and sport. Organizations can apply for grants up to £1,000 a year for up to three years. The fund is administered by Community Foundation Wales and serves grassroots community projects in the Local Authority area of Wrexham, including local charities, community groups, scouts/guides, boys/girls brigade, church projects, and community projects like senior lunch clubs, youth clubs, and parent-toddler groups.
