About this opportunity

To support the participation of young researchers to attend transatlantic conferences and offer them the opportunity to broaden their network outside the national-regional scope, the ACSMEDI Young Medicinal Chemists Committee (YMCC) and EFMC Young Scientists Network (YSN) are funding a reciprocal grant. Up to two grants of up to $1,500 each will be paid towards economy flights and up to 3-nights accommodation to facilitate attendance at the EFMC | ACSMEDI Medicinal Chemistry Frontiers meeting. The grants will be allocated to U.S. based researchers when the conference takes place in Europe, and to European researchers when the conference takes place in the U.S. Additionally, the awardees will be guaranteed a poster presentation, and will be offered the opportunity to apply for an oral communication. The upcoming edition of the EFMC | ACSMEDI Medicinal Chemistry Frontiers will take place in Dublin, Ireland on June 22-25, 2026. This travel grant specifically supports U.S.-based Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows in medicinal chemistry or chemical biology to attend the conference in Europe. Applicants must be either currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program from a US-based institution or a postdoctoral fellow at a US-based institution. The award period covers up to 12 months before the end of Ph.D. and up to two years after Ph.D. completion. Applicants must be ACS MEDI members to be eligible for this reciprocal transatlantic funding opportunity.
