About This Opportunity

The York Refugee Bursary is a non-repayable award specifically designed for undergraduate refugee students who have Home Fee Status at the University of York. The bursary provides financial support to help refugee students pursue their undergraduate degrees. The award value is £2,000 per year for students from households with an annual income between £0 and £25,000. This bursary has been partly funded through kind donations from York alumni and supporters to the University of Opportunity fund. Students are automatically assessed for eligibility based on the information they provide on their Student Loan application, with three bursary assessment periods during the academic year in October, January, and April. Recipients of the bursary also gain access to the On Track programme, an exclusive opportunity offering professional development workshops and one-to-one coaching designed to help students develop key employability skills and build confidence and professional networks.
