About This Opportunity

The Young and Talented Fund supports exceptional young talent in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, aiding those in sports and arts hindered by hardship or disability. The fund strives to help young individuals who have demonstrated outstanding talent in a particular field - such as sport and the arts - but are struggling to achieve their ambition or progress in their chosen career because of hardship or disability. Originally launched in 2005 as The Lord Lieutenant's Fund for Youth by Lady Mary Holborow and Michael Galsworthy, it is now led by Colonel Edward Bolitho KCVO OBE, the current Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall. The fund provides grants for equipment, activity costs such as competition fees, travel and accommodation, training costs, specialist clothing, and other costs associated with the young person's talent development.
