About this opportunity
The Young & Talented Cornwall Spirit of Trevithick Award supports young STEM enthusiasts in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with mentoring and grant funding, fostering their potential, skills, and career development in STEM fields. With a grant of up to £2,000, and mentorship from industry professionals, it nurtures potential, develops skills, and opens opportunities, ensuring aspiring problem-solvers have the resources and guidance to pursue their careers and achieve their dreams in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Spirit of Trevithick Fund, part of Young and Talented, was launched in 2023 to support young people with an interest in STEM. It is led by Colonel Edward Bolitho KCVO OBE, the current Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall. Priority is given to those with backgrounds of economic hardship.
