Young, Black & Proud Scholarships

The Young, Black & Proud Scholarships (YBPS) are designed for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who want to advance in sport, the arts, or achieve academically at school, TAFE, or university. With support from the Queensland Family & Child Commission, this program offers scholarships of $2000 and $1000 to eligible students. The scholarships aim to support the educational, sporting, and artistic dreams of young Indigenous Australians who are passionate about their community and culture. Twelve scholarships are available in total, providing one year of support to help students pursue their goals across any area of study at any institution in Queensland.
