Lundbeck Foundation Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Lundbeck Foundation Young Investigator Prize celebrates young scientists who have contributed significantly to the advancement of science resulting in a better understanding or improvement of health and biomedical sciences in the broadest sense. The prize is awarded to a scientist under the age of 40 who has made original scientific achievements and demonstrable impact in their field. Nominations of candidates working along the whole research value chain, from basic to clinical research, are encouraged. The bulk of the research described in the nomination should be conducted in Denmark, and the recipient must be conducting research at a Danish research institution at the time of the award. The Lundbeck Foundation believes that diversity strengthens science and encourages nominations from all backgrounds. The prize consists of DKK 1,000,000, split between a personal prize of DKK 300,000 and DKK 700,000 for the prize winner's research activities.
