About this opportunity
The Young Students' Bursary (YSB) is a financial support program for dependent undergraduate students studying full-time at Scottish universities. Students may be eligible for a bursary of up to £2,000 per year if their household income is £34,000 or less annually. The bursary is provided by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) and aims to support living costs for eligible students. Payment of the bursary is made on a monthly basis during term-time only. The support package varies based on household income, with students from households earning £0 to £20,999 receiving the maximum £2,000 bursary, those from £21,000 to £23,999 receiving £1,125, and those from £24,000 to £33,999 receiving £500. Students whose household income exceeds £34,000 are not eligible for the bursary and must rely entirely on student loans for living cost support.
