About this opportunity
The YoungArts National Arts Competition identifies exceptional young artists ages 15-18 and provides them with cash awards, mentorship opportunities with accomplished artists, and lifelong creative and professional support. Founded in 1981, this prestigious national competition accepts applications in 10 artistic disciplines including Classical Music, Dance, Design, Film, Jazz, Photography, Theater, Visual Arts, Voice, and Writing. Award winners join a community of distinguished artists and receive national recognition from highly respected artists in their field early in their artistic journey.
All YoungArts award winners receive cash prizes ranging from $250 to $10,000. Beyond monetary awards, the program offers mentorship by accomplished artists to help winners prepare for and navigate careers in the arts. Winners gain access to resources and opportunities at every stage of their development to support a sustainable artistic practice, as well as joining a robust network of artists that provides long-term support throughout their education and career.
