About This Opportunity

Multiple scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, are awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students who identify as women entering Year One of any program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo wherein women are underrepresented. This entrance scholarship is made possible by a donation from Professors Yves and Cynthia Bled to support outstanding women in Engineering. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, their Admission Information Form (AIF), and an online video interview. The scholarship supports students entering various engineering programs including Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Geological, Management, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Nanotechnology Engineering, as well as Software Engineering. The award is available to both Canadian/permanent residents and international students, and no separate application is required beyond the standard admission process.
