Zawadi Africa Educational Scholarship for Girls

The Zawadi Africa Educational Fund provides scholarships to academically excellent female students from East Africa who have completed secondary school. The program specifically targets girls who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement (A or A- in KCSE exams) while overcoming significant obstacles such as financial hardship, early marriage pressures, and female genital mutilation. The scholarship program includes a rigorous nine-month coaching period where selected students are prepared to apply to partner universities offering full scholarships. The program operates in Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana, and supports girls from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated leadership qualities in their schools or communities.
