About this opportunity

The Zell Miller Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program for Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. Funding for the Zell Miller Scholarship is provided by the Georgia Lottery for Education. This scholarship provides money to assist students with educational costs of attending a postsecondary institution located in the state of Georgia. It covers 100% of in-state tuition cost, and award amounts vary based on the number of credit hours taken in a semester. To be eligible for the Zell Miller Scholarship, students must graduate from high school with a 3.70 cumulative GPA as calculated by Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) AND an SAT score of 1200 OR an ACT score of 25. Students must also meet all the eligibility requirements of the HOPE Scholarship and be enrolled in a degree-seeking undergraduate program. However, full-time enrollment is not required to receive Zell Miller funding. Students are evaluated for their continued eligibility for the Zell Miller Scholarship program at various checkpoints throughout their academic career. At each checkpoint a cumulative 3.30 GPA must be earned, or the award will be forfeited.
