Zicklin Contracting Restoration Awareness Scholarship

The Zicklin Contracting Restoration Awareness Scholarship is an educational funding opportunity that offers students a chance to win financial support by creatively raising awareness about the importance of water, fire, and insurance restoration services. The scholarship is designed to encourage students to engage with topics related to property restoration and disaster recovery through creative submissions including essays, videos, or infographics. Participants can choose from three main topics: the importance of water damage restoration, fire damage restoration and safety measures, or understanding insurance restoration services. This scholarship aims to promote awareness of restoration services while supporting students' educational goals. The award is sponsored by Zicklin Contracting, a family-operated contracting company with over 35 years of experience in construction and renovation projects in the New York Tri-State region. The 2025 winner, Emily Reyes from UAA Nursing Program, was selected for her heartfelt essay and hand-drawn illustration demonstrating genuine understanding of community rebuilding.
