About This Opportunity

The Zonta Club of Caloundra Equity Bursary is awarded annually to support and encourage a young woman who has experienced educational disadvantage because of their personal circumstances. The bursary is specifically designed for female students enrolled in their first or second year at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). The bursary provides financial support of A$2,000 to eligible students who are full-time undergraduates, aged 21 years or under, and have completed at least four courses of their degree at UniSC with a minimum GPA of 4.0. Selection is based on financial need and priority is given to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples, students with a disability, or students from low socio-economic backgrounds. Bursary payment is made approximately three weeks after Census Date, once enrolment has been confirmed. Previous recipients of the Zonta Club of Caloundra Equity Bursary are not eligible to reapply, though previous unsuccessful applicants may reapply. This bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor, and if funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
