About this opportunity
The Zonta Club of Noosa Indigenous Women's Bursary is a scholarship established to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women pursuing undergraduate degrees with compulsory practicum components. The bursary is valued at $1,000 and will be awarded annually at the Zonta Club of Noosa Dinner meeting. The Zonta Club of Noosa was chartered in 1993 and has raised and distributed more than $650,000 to improve the status of women locally, nationally and internationally. This bursary specifically targets Indigenous female students who have completed at least one semester of full-time study at the University of the Sunshine Coast, maintain passing grades, and receive Centrelink income support or face financial hardship. Selection is based on demonstrated intent to complete their degree, significant contribution to the local community upon completion, and academic merit.
