Lakeland College Rodeo Sportsmanship Award
Established in 2010, the Lakeland College Rodeo Sportsmanship Award is available to Lakeland College Rodeo athletes identified by the Coordinator, Rodeo Club/Arena. This year-end award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship and leadership within the Rodeo Club. Award recipients must be enrolled full-time with a minimum 60% course load and maintain satisfactory academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Recipients are expected to be leaders in the Rodeo Club, setting a positive example for new and current students. The award value varies based on the number of recipients and funds available each year.
Lacey Longworth Memorial Award
Established in 2012 by the Lakeland Rowing Club and friends & family of Lacey Longworth, the Lacey Longworth Memorial Award is available to Lakeland College rowing crew members who are currently enrolled full-time in any Lakeland College program and will return to full-time studies at Lakeland College the following year. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, commitment to the team and to the sport of rowing, leadership qualities within the team, a desire to succeed, and who are ambitious and of good character. This memorial award honors Lacey Longworth's legacy through supporting student-athletes who exemplify these values.
