TryggEst is a grant program supporting competence-building initiatives to prevent violence against vulnerable adults in Norwegian municipalities. Organizations, religious and philosophical communities, counties, municipalities, and city districts in Oslo can apply for grants for projects lasting up to 3 years. The program prioritizes initiatives that advance equality rather than individual assistance, equipment purchases, or building projects. Applicants must be registered in the Volunteer Register, have their own organization number, have existed for at least 2 years, and have written ethical guidelines and procedures that safeguard the rights and safety of children, young people, and vulnerable groups.

Bostøtte (Housing Support)

Lillestrøm Kommune

Bostøtte is an economic support program for individuals with low income and high housing costs in Lillestrøm, Norway. The program includes both state housing support (Husbankens bostøtte) administered by Husbanken and municipal housing support (kommunal bostøtte) for specific eligible recipients. State housing support is available to those meeting income and housing cost criteria, with applications processed through Husbanken but managed by the municipality. Municipal housing support is specifically for recipients of disability pension, old-age pension, or survivor's pension who rent municipal housing or housing where the municipality has allocation rights. Applicants must first apply for state housing support from Husbanken before applying for municipal support. The municipal support is means-tested and calculated based on household composition, total gross income, and housing expenses including rent and electricity costs, using SIFO reference budgets for living expenses.

Startlån og tilskudd til å kjøpe bolig

Lillestrøm kommune

Startlån and grants from Lillestrøm municipality help individuals with long-term difficulties obtaining loans from regular banks to purchase or adapt their own housing. The program prioritizes disabled persons, people with reduced functional capacity, elderly individuals, and families with children to buy modest and suitable housing. The funding can be used to buy new or used housing, refinance loans with collateral in own housing if there is risk of losing the home through forced sale, take over housing, or adapt/improve housing for reduced functional capacity. Establishment grants are economically means-tested and given as an interest-free and installment-free loan to permanently disadvantaged individuals to help them acquire modest and good housing. Grants for investigation and project planning are available to all with reduced functional capacity who need to adapt their housing to be able to continue living there over time. The size of the grant is determined after a comprehensive assessment of economy, needs, and opportunities for support from other public support schemes.
