Black at Microsoft (BAM) Scholarships

About This Opportunity

The Black at Microsoft (BAM) Scholarship was created by Microsoft employees committed to helping students pursue higher education and build careers in technology. Through this grassroots effort, the program aims to empower future generations to achieve more and become more. Each year, Microsoft employees come together to support students pursuing higher education through a community-hosted scholarship program, reflecting a shared belief in creating opportunities and the impact of collective generosity. The scholarship is designed for high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university in the United States beginning the fall immediately after high school graduation. Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in undergraduate study in fields including Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing. Recipients must demonstrate a passion for technology, leadership in school or community, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and financial need. The scholarship is renewable for up to three years, allowing recipients to receive continued support throughout their undergraduate education. The program considers academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, career goals, unusual personal circumstances, and financial need.
