About this opportunity
The Elizabeth Brennan Scholarship is a postgraduate coursework scholarship in early childhood teaching that supports domestic and international students enrolled in the first year of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. Established in 2013, this scholarship has been generously donated by The Brennan Family Foundation for students enrolled in the Master of Teaching degree in Early Childhood Education.
Recipients enrolled full-time will receive $10,000 per annum for up to two years, while part-time recipients will receive $5,000 per annum for up to four years. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, leadership potential, two referee reports (including one from an academic), and a personal statement detailing leadership skills, area of interest, career path direction, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance each semester. The scholarship cannot be deferred without prior permission from the Head of School, Sydney School of Education and Social Work, and cannot be transferred to another university school, faculty, or university.
