About this opportunity
The Erasmus+ for Training programme enables Leiden University staff members, including teaching and support staff as well as PhD candidates with employment contracts, to undertake training at European partner universities or other relevant organisations. The programme aims to improve skills and competencies and support professional development. The training can take place in any of the Erasmus+ programme countries, which include EU member states as well as Serbia, Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey. The training must be for a minimum duration of two days and a maximum of sixty days, excluding travel, though grants are only awarded for a maximum of 14 days. The grant is composed of a daily allowance and a travel allowance, intended as a contribution towards additional expenses arising from the training. Due to limited funds in 2025-2026, grants will be distributed fairly across faculties on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to staff members who have not yet received an Erasmus+ grant in the current project cycle.
