About this opportunity
The High Honors Student Scholarship seeks to reward an ambitious student who has performed at a superior rate both academically and holistically. This $2,000 scholarship is specifically designed for students with High Honors status, defined as having earned a GPA of 3.5-3.79 (unweighted) in their last semester. The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence not only in their academic work but also in their personal and professional achievements.
The program operates on a rolling monthly application deadline basis, meaning students can apply at any time throughout the year. Applicants who submit their materials earlier in the cycle have a greater chance of being selected. Recipients are chosen using a standardized rubric to evaluate applications, and in the event of a tie, the winner is selected randomly from among the tied applicants.
Winners can expect to hear back within three weeks of the award selection, with public announcements made within six weeks through the website, monthly newsletter, and social media. Applications remain under consideration for up to three months after submission, and students may reapply with updated materials after three or more months from their initial submission. Recipients are expected to provide video and/or written testimonials about their academic program and the scholarship experience.
The scholarship is offered by Honor Society, a national membership organization dedicated to supporting academic, professional, and personal growth for high-achieving students across various institutions and programs.
