About This Opportunity

The Kent Access to HE Ambition Scholarship extends support to students who undertook an Access to Higher Education Diploma at the University of Kent or at one of the University's Partner Colleges (Mid Kent College, West Kent College, EKC Group, Canterbury College, or Ashford College). The scholarship is worth £2,000 for each year of study (pro-rata for part-time students) and will be renewed annually, subject to satisfactory academic progress, for a maximum of 4 years full-time or part-time equivalent. Ten scholarships are available annually. Scholarship holders are invited to join the Kent Ambition Scholars Programme, which provides targeted support throughout the student journey and opportunities to develop employability skills, including the chance to become a Student Ambassador. Applications are prioritized for students from areas of socio-economic deprivation, low-participation neighbourhoods, care leavers under 25, estranged students, members of the Gypsy/Roma/Traveller communities, first-generation university students, those with caring responsibilities, or residents of foyer or supported accommodation. Applicants must be UK home fee-paying students who have completed or are completing an Access to HE Diploma at one of the specified institutions, with this being their most recent qualification. They must have applied to the University of Kent for a full-time or part-time undergraduate programme and firmly accepted an offer by the application deadline. KMMS students are not eligible, and recipients cannot hold both this scholarship and the Kent Ambition to Succeed Scholarship simultaneously.
