About this opportunity
The Link Foundation Ocean Engineering and Instrumentation Ph.D. Fellowship Program is designed to foster ocean engineering and ocean instrumentation research, enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge and applications in these fields, and disseminate research results through lectures, seminars, and publications. The fellowship provides financial support to Ph.D. students conducting research in ocean engineering and instrumentation at U.S. and Canadian universities.
The award consists of $35,000 and can be used flexibly towards the Fellow's academic year and summer stipend, expenses associated with the Fellow's research such as supplies, equipment, and computing charges, to support the Fellow's attendance at technical meetings, and to defray the cost of publishing research results. This comprehensive support enables fellows to advance their doctoral research in ocean engineering and instrumentation.
Applicants must already be accepted into a Ph.D. program at a U.S. or Canadian university and be enrolled on a full-time basis for the duration of the award. There are no limitations placed on citizenship, making this an internationally accessible fellowship. The program supports dissertation-level research and encourages dissemination of findings through various scholarly channels.
