About This Opportunity

The Michael Cameron Study Support Bursary is an equity-based funding opportunity established to honour the memory of Michael Cameron, former Vice-President of Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QJCCI) and former Director of Hall Chadwick Qld. The bursary recognizes Michael's interests and esteemed career by supporting two full-time undergraduate students annually. Each year, two bursaries valued at $2,500 each are awarded: one to a student with a Japanese Studies major (or minor if no eligible major applicants), and one to an Accounting student enrolled in specific programs or with an Accounting major. The bursaries are paid as lump sum payments approximately three weeks after Census Date in Study Period 1. Applicants must be continuing full-time undergraduate students who have successfully completed a minimum of 96 units (8 courses) with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0. Students must be Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holders, or Permanent Residents of Australia. Selection is based on financial need, hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities impacting study time, and academic merit. This bursary is offered yearly through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
