About This Opportunity

The Pargiter Trust Fund provides grants to support the work of charities, voluntary and community groups providing services, support or advice to older people aged 65 and over in Suffolk. The Trust supports projects meeting themes including improving health and wellbeing, reducing social isolation, improving access to facilities, advice and training, supporting respite for carers, good neighbourhood and befriending schemes, improving access to information and IT for older people (particularly inter-generational work), helping older people experiencing difficult circumstances due to illness, injury, disability, bereavement or financial difficulty, and supporting underprivileged older people. Examples of previously supported projects include providing hot meals and refreshments and helping older people stay active through sports, arts, recreation, social clubs and volunteering. The Trust acknowledges additional challenges faced by organisations due to cost-of-living issues and encourages applications that help organisations adapt their service delivery to better meet these needs. Grants may fund existing services or facilities and new initiatives, contributing to either capital costs such as new equipment or ongoing running costs. This is a small-grant fund with awards up to a maximum of £5,000, though larger grants up to £10,000 may be considered for complete projects, and multi-year funding may also be considered where appropriate.

Decision Applications due September 22, 2025 with decisions expected by end of November 2025
