About this opportunity

The Prince Mahidol Studentship at Trinity College, University of Cambridge, is intended for Thai students who wish to undertake a PhD in Medicine or Biomedical Sciences. The Studentship is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation. Prince Mahidol of Songkla (1892-1929) is widely regarded as the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. The studentship provides comprehensive funding including international fees, maintenance for 3.5 to 4 years depending on the course, student visa costs, student immigration health surcharge, a Research Emolument of £500 per annum for PhD for 3 years, and the cost of a return ticket from home country to the United Kingdom. There is an expectation that studentship recipients will return to Thailand to contribute to the field of Medical and Biomedical science. The award is granted based on academic merit. Successful applicants may be contacted during their course by Trinity's Alumni Relations and Development Office to provide a short account of their progress and experience at Trinity College for the purpose of reporting to the donors.
