About this opportunity

The Security, Privacy, and Trust in Cyberspace (SaTC 2.0) program aims to build trust in global cyber ecosystems. Trust is broadly defined to include concepts covering security, privacy, and resilience of cyberspace, particularly in the face of malicious intent and specific threats. The program focuses on a complex and interdependent cyber ecosystem that involves hardware, software, networks, data, people, organizations, countries, and the physical world. SaTC 2.0 welcomes proposals that address trust in cyberspace through expertise in computer and information science and engineering, education, mathematics, statistics, and social, behavioral, and economic sciences. The program especially encourages forward-looking, next-generation, clean-slate ideas that provide defenders with a distinct advantage and offer resilience against potential or unforeseen threats. Proposals can be submitted under three designations: Research (RES) for multidisciplinary research projects with budgets up to $1.2M; Education (EDU) for education and workforce training projects up to $500K-$600K; and Seedling (SEED) for special topics up to $300K. The program emphasizes integration of social, economic, and cyber ecosystems, and approaches to anticipate and mitigate potential threats in new and emerging applications and technologies.
