About this opportunity

The Graham Rushton Award is an annual grant of approximately £10,000 for blind and partially sighted law students studying English Law in the United Kingdom. Graham Rushton was a blind lawyer who left a considerable sum of money to RNIB as a legacy to assist blind and partially sighted law students. The award can be used towards exam fees, books, equipment or other study-related costs. RNIB and the Society of Visually Impaired Lawyers (SOVIL) work in partnership to deliver this award. Short-listed applicants will have a remote interview with SOVIL and RNIB staff. In cases where more than one applicant is approved, the grant may be divided between several awardees.
Grant allocated by 31 August 2026
