Conference Travel Grants

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum offers conference travel grants for scholars to attend a professional conference where they are presenting their original research on a topic on or related to the Holocaust. This competitive grant program is part of the Broadening Academia Initiative, designed to support the production of scholarship on the Holocaust by scholars who are untenured, contingent, or working outside of academia. Recipients will be reimbursed for travel expenses up to $1,000 for travel in North America or up to $1,600 for international travel, lodging expenses up to $1,088, and receive a stipend for miscellaneous expenses. The Museum can only reimburse the most direct economy class round-trip travel. Grant recipients have one year from the awarded grant to attend their conference and must submit materials for reimbursement afterward. Recipients are responsible for scheduling their own travel and accommodations. This program is made possible by the generous support of The Marcus Foundation.
