Aspire Award Undergraduate Scholarship
The Computer Science Aspire Award Undergraduate Scholarship at UCL reduces financial barriers and creates opportunities for students from Black or mixed Black ethnic backgrounds who are currently underrepresented in the Computer Science department. The scholarship provides full tuition fees plus an annual allowance of £20,000 to cover living and study expenses for the normal duration of the undergraduate programme at UCL. All Aspire scholars receive ongoing academic and career support during their study. Three scholarships are available to students starting in September 2026, and are awarded to prospective students accepted to Computer Science BSc, Computer Science MEng, Mathematical Computation MEng, or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng programmes. The selection process includes an assessment of educational, personal, and financial circumstances, with successful candidates participating in one-to-one dialogues conducted by the Windsor Fellowship as part of the application process.
Trigon Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering
The Trigon Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering is a prestigious undergraduate scholarship for female students pursuing a four-year full-time MEng degree at Imperial College London's Department of Mechanical Engineering. The scholarship provides £15,000 per year for maintenance costs, covering up to 4 years of study, excluding repeat periods. Recipients must demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential. Beyond financial support, the scholarship offers unique professional development opportunities including regular meetings with Trigon Directors who serve as mentors, and a guaranteed paid summer placement (typically 4-12 weeks) in fire safety sector at Trigon's Richmond Office. The award is contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic progress and recipients may be expected to meet with donors, participate in scholarship events, and submit progress statements.
The Kalyan Scholarship in Engineering
The Kalyan Scholarship in Engineering provides comprehensive financial support for undergraduate students pursuing engineering degrees at Imperial College London. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides an annual stipend of £17,191 in the first year, with increases in subsequent years to keep pace with inflation. This scholarship is specifically designed for home fee status students from lower-income backgrounds who have been assessed for financial support through Student Finance England with a verified household income of less than £70,000 per annum. The award is tenable for a maximum of 4 years, excluding repeat periods of study. Recipients must be studying an undergraduate MEng or MSci course within the Faculty of Engineering and are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout their studies. The successful scholar will have opportunities to meet informally with the donors and will be required to submit an annual progress statement.
