The Metis Scholar Awards are awarded to full-time Indigenous students who will be enrolled in any year of any program at Mount Royal University in the upcoming fall semester. Applicants must provide proof of Metis heritage. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate financial need and have meaningful connections to the Metis community. Candidates are required to submit a letter of 800-1000 words outlining their experience with the Metis community, including volunteer activities specific to the Metis community, family history, or their plans to give back to the Metis community. This award supports Indigenous students in pursuing their educational goals while maintaining and strengthening their ties to the Metis community.
