Stipend og lån til videregående opplæring
This is a grant and loan program offered by Lånekassen (the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund) for students under 21 years of age without study or vocational qualifications who are attending upper secondary school in Norway. The program includes equipment grants (utstyrsstipend) which all upper secondary school students receive. Students who live away from home can also apply for accommodation grants (borteboerstipend) and travel grants (reisestipend), while those with children can apply for child grants (barnestipend). Additionally, applicants can choose to apply for income-dependent grants. Students over 18 years old can also apply for tuition loans and general student loans through this same application. The application process is straightforward, with most cases not requiring documentation for studies in Norway, and applicants typically receive a response or status update within 24 hours.
