This grant program provides subsidies for transportation of grain in Norway. The program covers transport of grain from surplus areas in Eastern Norway to production facilities in deficit areas, transport of imported grain to production facilities north of Stavanger, and transport of organic grain from producers to the nearest receiving facility. Grain buyers are eligible to apply for this subsidy. Applications must be submitted monthly by the 15th of the following month, with a final deadline of February 15th of the year after for the previous calendar year's freight subsidies.

The subsidy is intended to equalize producers' costs so that they pay the same amount regardless of location, compensating for higher distribution costs in remote areas. The grant covers costs associated with semen transport and insemination services performed by veterinarians, insemination technicians, or approved owner-inseminators.
