Senator Elsie Inman Memorial Scholarship
The Senator Elsie Inman Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student who is a resident of Prince Edward Island and has completed at least one year at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). The recipient must be registered as a full-time student at the University in the year in which the scholarship is to be used. The recipient must be registered in a program designed to enable him or her to work in an agriculture-related field, such as veterinary medicine, agricultural marketing, or soil and water conservation, and must be intending to pursue that career on Prince Edward Island. This scholarship was established by Senator Elsie Inman prior to her death to support UPEI students intending to work in the agricultural industry on the Island. Senator Inman was always interested in and very knowledgeable about agricultural issues and was deeply committed to supporting the next generation of agricultural professionals in PEI.
