The Regional Cultural Fund Vestland 2026 aims to stimulate increased activity and participation in cultural life, strengthen the interplay between professional and voluntary cultural life, reinforce local and regional cultural volunteerism, and contribute to increased quality in the local and regional arts and culture offerings. The fund supports projects and activities throughout Vestland that contribute to an innovative and exploratory cultural life, strengthen networks, knowledge and diversity, develop arts and culture dissemination, and strengthen cooperation between actors in different parts of the county. The fund is administered by Vestland County Municipality and supports both voluntary and professional actors in the cultural field with activities in music, performing arts, visual arts, literature, video games, film, and cultural heritage. Projects can receive funding ranging from 10,000 NOK for smaller short-term projects up to 1.5 million NOK for particularly large projects with special relevance to cultural life in Vestland. The fund prioritizes projects that are innovative, strengthen networks and diversity, develop cultural dissemination, support cultural and creative industries, library-based initiatives, and professional cultural activities for elderly populations.

This grant program provides operational funding to support the comprehensive activities of performing arts practitioners in Norway. The program aims to give performing artists time-limited financial predictability through grants for artistic development, production, and dissemination. The funding covers artistic production and performances, development work, administrative expenses, and dissemination activities. This is an operational grant (virksomhetstilskudd) that forms part of the overall financing of a business or permanent activity. The grant is provided as a fixed annual grant that can last for up to five years. The program is designed for established performing artists who can demonstrate a growing and developing artistic practice, engage in production and dissemination, are registered in the Norwegian Business Registry, and have the majority of their activities in Norway.
