Way of Normal Black Sheep Award

Mount Royal University

The Way of Normal Black Sheep Award is presented to a full- or part-time student who will be enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Interior Design program in the upcoming fall semester at Mount Royal University. Preference is given to students with a disability, with particular preference for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Dyslexia. Recipients should have documentation on file with Access and Inclusion Services related to their disability. The award requires demonstrated artistic expression through the submission of a personal or academic art piece, which may include painting, sculpture, music, video, or other creative forms. Preference is given to new recipients who have not previously received this award.

Bayer Crop Science Opportunity Scholarship

Bayer Crop Science Canada

The Bayer Crop Science Opportunities Scholarship is an annual opportunity for students entering full-time studies in either a bachelor's degree or diploma program lasting at least two years relating to agriculture, food science and culinary programs of studies. This scholarship represents Bayer's commitment to investing in the next generation of Canadian agriculture and food production professionals. Twelve successful applicants are selected each year based on demonstrated academic standards and leadership in the community. The selection of successful applicants is made by an independent panel. Preference is given to two applicants of Canadian Indigenous heritage, supporting diversity in the agricultural sector and recognizing the important role of Indigenous communities in Canadian agriculture.

Growing Minds In Agriculture Technology Scholarship

Lakeland College

Established in 2021 by Edward Reddy, the Growing Minds in Agriculture Technology Scholarship is available to students who have completed an Agricultural Sciences diploma and are returning to full-time studies in the Fall at Lakeland College in the Bachelor of Agriculture Technology at the Vermilion campus. The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and demonstration of how the student has overcome barriers to achieve their educational goals and enhance their career opportunities. Applicants must be Canadian citizens and include a 500-word essay answering the question: How have you overcome barriers to achieve your educational goals and enhance your career opportunities? The scholarship provides financial support to help students continue their agricultural education at the bachelor's degree level.
