GREAT Scholarships – Spain
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Surrey is offering one £10,000 scholarship to students in Spain applying for one-year postgraduate courses starting in September 2026. The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from several countries in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities. The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Recipients are expected to embody the UK Higher Education experience by attending lectures and tutorials, engaging with extra-curricular activities, and acting as an ambassador for UK Higher Education by promoting the value of studying at a UK HEI.
GREAT Scholarships – Kenya
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Surrey is offering one £10,000 scholarship to students in Kenya applying for one-year postgraduate courses starting in September 2026. The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities. The scholarship provides financial support of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate taught study at the University of Surrey. Successful applicants must embody the UK Higher Education experience by attending lectures and tutorials, engaging with extra-curricular activities, and acting as ambassadors for UK Higher Education and the GREAT brand.
Durham Cathedral Choral Scholarship
The Durham Cathedral Choral Scholarship is offered in collaboration with Durham University for current and prospective students. Choral Scholars sing eight services per week across six days with the Cathedral Choir, performing alongside professional Lay Clerks and Choristers. The position provides valuable musical training and performance experience in a prestigious cathedral setting. Choral Scholars sing lower parts (alto, tenor, and bass) alongside six professional singers who act as mentors. Duties run from the beginning of Michaelmas term through to the second Sunday in July, including Christmas and Easter. In addition to rehearsing and singing, Choral Scholars help with supervising probationer rehearsals and chorister recruitment. The scholarship provides financial support of approximately £4,021.03 per year plus additional fees. Benefits include learning a wide range of music, participating in concerts, recordings, broadcasts and tours, receiving mentorship from professional musicians, and a series of free singing lessons. Previous Choral Scholars have gone on to become Lay Clerks at Durham and other institutions, and to pursue further musical study at UK conservatoires.
The Durham MBA (Full Time) Scholarships
Durham University Business School offers a comprehensive package of scholarships celebrating and rewarding exceptional candidates applying to the Full-time MBA programme. The scholarships are automatically awarded to offer holders based on eligibility criteria, with no separate application required. Awards include the Executive Dean's Scholarship (£20,500 - 50% tuition discount), the Executive Dean's - Women in Business Scholarship (£20,000 - 50% tuition discount), and Achievement Awards (up to £18,000). Up to 40 awards are available for 2026/27 entry. Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts and recognize candidates who demonstrate outstanding professional excellence, substantial postgraduate work experience with high-level managerial responsibility, an outstanding academic record, strong performance during admissions interviews, potential to contribute meaningfully to the MBA programme, and the ability to become exemplary alumni ambassadors. Applicants must be completely self-funding to be eligible, and scholarship decisions are made automatically upon receiving a programme offer.
Masters Achievement Scholarships
The Masters Achievement Scholarships at Durham University Business School celebrate and reward exceptional candidates applying to their Masters programmes. These scholarships provide tuition fee discounts for outstanding students demonstrating academic excellence, potential to contribute to the programme, and the ability to become exemplary alumni ambassadors. All Business School Masters programme offer holders are automatically considered for applicable scholarships, with no separate application required. The scholarships are available for full-time students commencing studies in October 2026, with up to 100 awards available. Overseas and EU students from developing countries may receive up to £12,500 in tuition fee discounts, while students from other countries can receive up to £10,000. Home and Islands students are eligible for up to £7,500 tuition fee discounts. To be eligible, applicants must be completely self-funding and demonstrate an outstanding academic record from a recognised institution. Recipients must also show potential to enrich the academic and cultural profile of the Masters class. Scholarship recipients agree to participate in the School's marketing and outreach activities and are required to accept their programme offer and pay the required deposit within four weeks of accepting the award. The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and potential contribution to the university community, with successful candidates notified via email within 10 working days of receiving an offer.
Durham Palestine Educational Trust Master's Scholarship
The Durham Palestine Educational Trust offers scholarships for Palestinian students from the West Bank or Gaza to pursue a one-year taught Master's degree at Durham University, UK. The scholarship is designed for students who have completed their undergraduate degree at a university in the West Bank or Gaza with strong academic performance (GPA of at least 80% or 3.0 or B). The Trust aims to support talented Palestinian students who are unable to study abroad due to financial constraints. The scholarship covers both tuition fees (provided by Durham University) and maintenance costs (provided by the Trust), including accommodation, living expenses, travel to the UK, visa costs, and other necessary expenses. Recipients are expected to be active in student or community life and must demonstrate English language proficiency acceptable to their chosen course at Durham University. Successful applicants must commit to returning to the West Bank or Gaza at the end of their course and serving as active ambassadors for Palestinians during their stay in Durham. The program also includes enrollment in a free In-sessional Academic and Study Skills course at Durham University. The Trust operates as an independent charity working in partnership with Durham University to support Palestinian education and development. The scholarship is intended for students who have not previously completed a Master's degree and who have not studied abroad except for short courses. Recipients must be able to live in the UK for 12 months as a single person and will be monitored for academic progress throughout their studies.
