The Catherine and Austin Mardon, C.M. Schizophrenia Award is a scholarship offered to students enrolled in any credit program at NorQuest College. This award recognizes students who have been personally affected by schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder, or who have an immediate family member with these conditions. The scholarship aims to support students who have persevered in their educational pursuits despite the challenges associated with these mental health conditions. Applicants must maintain a minimum academic standing of 64% (C/2.0 GPA), demonstrate financial need, and submit a personal letter describing how schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder has impacted their life and educational journey. The award provides $500 to support the recipient's educational expenses.
