The Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs PhD Scholarships

The Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs PhD Scholarships program provides funding for Egyptian nationals to pursue full-time doctoral studies at Imperial College London. The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the duration of the PhD program, excluding the writing-up year and any active research period extensions. In line with the agreement between The Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs and Imperial College London, Imperial will cover 30% of tuition fees for successful applicants. Five scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year across a wide range of departments including engineering, medicine, natural sciences, and business. Applicants must be assessed as overseas fee status and must apply both through Imperial College London's application portal and through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt.

The Anne Seagrim Accommodation Scholarships

The Anne Seagrim Accommodation Scholarships provide financial support specifically for accommodation costs to overseas students pursuing postgraduate research degrees at Imperial College London. The scholarship offers an annual award of £10,000 towards accommodation expenses. For MRes students, the award is provided for one year, while PhD students receive the scholarship for three years. This funding opportunity is designed to help international students manage the costs of living in London while completing their research studies. Two scholarships are available annually, with candidates being nominated by their academic departments. Recipients must have overseas fee status and be starting their MRes or PhD program in October 2024.

Sanctuary Scholarship - Undergraduate

The Sanctuary Scholarship is a comprehensive financial support award for refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals with humanitarian protection status who have received an offer to study any undergraduate programme at Imperial College London. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, provides an annual living stipend of £16,500, and includes a one-off equipment grant of £1,500 for purchasing a laptop or other educational equipment. This award is specifically designed to remove financial barriers and support individuals who have faced significant challenges in continuing their education due to their immigration status in the UK. The scholarship is available across all undergraduate programmes at Imperial College London and is awarded for the duration of the degree programme, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress. Recipients gain access to additional support services through the Student Support Zone, which provides specialized assistance for refugees, asylum seekers, and forced migrants throughout their studies.

Said Foundation Scholarship

The Said Foundation Scholarship supports students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine to pursue one-year postgraduate taught degrees or master's degrees by research at Imperial College London. The scholarship is designed for candidates who demonstrate leadership potential in their chosen field and have a clear commitment to returning to their home country or region after completing their studies. Two scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including full overseas tuition fees, a maintenance allowance, an arrival allowance, UK visa fees, immigration health surcharge, and an economy return airfare. Candidates must hold Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian nationality, permanently reside in one of these countries (with exceptions for Syrians displaced due to current circumstances), and hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 or higher. Applicants must also have relevant work or voluntary experience and meet the Foundation's English language requirements.
