This grant program is designed to promote cooperation in sorting, packaging, and marketing of Norwegian fruit to ensure consumer access to domestic fruit products. The grant is distributed among fruit storage facilities (packing houses) that apply for funding based on the average quantity of packaged fruit sold to the consumer market over the last three calendar years before the application deadline. Eligible enterprises must be registered in the Norwegian Entity Registry, operate a packing facility, receive at least 2,000 kg of Norwegian-produced fruit from at least eight different fruit-producing enterprises in the application year, and have packed at least 100 tons of Norwegian-produced fruit sold to the consumer market during the application year. Eligible fruit types include apples, pears, plums, cherries, and sour cherries. For the 2026 payment period, 26.7 million NOK has been allocated to this program through the state budget.
