Tilskot til førehandsundersøkingar av verneverdige byggverk
This grant supports preliminary investigations of heritage-worthy buildings and structures in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Before renovating or rebuilding heritage buildings and facilities, applicants can apply for support to have a condition assessment carried out. The grant covers the cost of engaging a restoration-skilled craftsperson to write a condition report and create an action plan with cost estimates for the project. Applicants can also receive funding to engage an architect for a few hours to determine how to use a heritage-worthy building in a new way while preserving its cultural-historical values. The purpose is to encourage more people to restore heritage buildings and structures and put them into use.

This grant program supports management institutions responsible for archaeological cultural heritage in Norway. Funding is provided for conservation, restoration, maintenance, documentation, and public access initiatives for automatically protected and other archaeological cultural sites. The program covers various activities including development of management plans, condition assessments, maintenance work, documentation of rock art, new accessibility arrangements, and communication initiatives. Priority is given to acute needs, condition assessments, projects promoting local engagement, knowledge building between management levels, and projects contributing to national preservation strategies. The program continues elements from previous specialized programs for rock art (BERG) and selected archaeological sites (BARK).
