Bethany Care Foundation Scholarships
The Bethany Care Foundation Scholarships support individuals pursuing careers in continuing care. Scholarships are available for students enrolled in health care aide, nursing, health leadership, or allied health post-secondary studies between September 2025 and August 2026. All scholarships are generously supported by Bethany Care Foundation donors. The awards recognize scholastic excellence, clear career goals, and contributions to continuing care. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee that includes Bethany Board members, leadership team representatives, and others as appropriate. Applicants will be advised of the committee's decision in late August 2025, and scholarships will be awarded at an event recognizing students' outstanding achievements. Students may apply any year they meet the eligibility criteria, even if they have received scholarships in the past, though each application requires updated documentation.
Health Care Aide Tuition Bursary Program
The Health Care Aide Tuition Bursary Program is funded by the Government of Alberta to help people become Health Care Aides. This program provides up to $9,000 in financial support for students or graduates from any school offering the Alberta-licensed Health Care Aide program. The program started accepting applications for students whose programs began on or after July 1, 2022. Funds are provided in two installments after applicants meet specific criteria and submit required documents correctly. By accepting the bursary, recipients commit to work as a Health Care Aide in Alberta after graduation through a Return of Service Agreement, with proof of employment required at an approved continuing care operator. The bursary application process happens in three stages over the course of studies through an online portal managed by NorQuest College.
