Elexis Schloss Indigenous Student Award
The Elexis Schloss Indigenous Student Award is offered to a full-time student enrolled in any credit program at NorQuest College. The award recognizes students of Indigenous heritage including First Nation (status or non-status), Métis, and Inuit backgrounds. Applicants must maintain an academic standing of 75%/B/3.0 or higher and submit a personal letter describing their educational goals and career objectives. Preference is given to female students who have not previously received this award.
Compass Consulting Bursary
The Compass Consulting Bursary is awarded to students enrolled in any NorQuest College credit program. This bursary provides financial assistance to students demonstrating financial need. The award gives preference to single mothers or students with disabilities, recognizing the additional challenges these student populations may face in pursuing their education. The bursary aims to support access to post-secondary education at NorQuest College for students who would benefit from financial support.
Jim McDaniel Memorial Educational Bursary
The Jim McDaniel Memorial Educational Bursary is awarded to students at NorQuest College who are deaf or hard of hearing and enrolled in any credit program. This bursary provides financial support to eligible students who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. Applicants must be Alberta residents and hold Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or landed immigrant status. The award recognizes students who maintain a minimum academic standing of 64%/C/2.0 or higher while pursuing their educational goals.
Edon Management Indigenous Award
The Edon Management Indigenous Award is a scholarship opportunity offered by NorQuest College to support Indigenous students pursuing higher education. This award is available to any student enrolled in any NorQuest College Credit Program who meets specific eligibility criteria. The scholarship is designed to recognize academic achievement and support Indigenous students in pursuing their educational and career goals. Recipients must demonstrate strong academic standing with a minimum 75% average (B or 3.0 GPA), identify as Indigenous (First Nation status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit), and be Canadian citizens. Applicants are required to submit a personal letter describing their educational goals and career objectives, allowing the selection committee to understand their aspirations and commitment to their chosen field of study. This award provides $1,500 CAD to help offset the costs of education and support student success.
