Nursing and Midwifery Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey in nursing and midwifery fields. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only for students living in University accommodation. Students living outside of University accommodation will receive this as a cash award instead. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application-based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Applicants must hold an offer to study full-time bachelor's or integrated master's degree programmes in Midwifery or Nursing Studies (Adult, Children and Young People, or Mental Health Nursing) at first-year entry level. The scholarship is specifically for UK students with home fee status starting in September 2026 who have made their course application through UCAS by 14 January 2026.
Mathematics Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will receive this as a cash award. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Eligible students must hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in mathematics-related subjects including Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics, or Mathematics with Data Science.
Food Science and Nutrition Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey, specifically for students studying Food Science and Nutrition, Nutrition and Dietetics, or Nutrition. The scholarship is awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will be offered this as a cash award. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Applicants must be UK students with home fee status, starting in September 2026, and hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in one of the eligible subjects. Applications must be made through UCAS by 14 January 2026.
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey. The scholarship is awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will be offered this as a cash award. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Eligible students must be UK students with home fee status, starting in September 2026, and hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in Chemical Engineering BEng (Hons) / MEng or Chemical and Petroleum Engineering BEng (Hons) / MEng.
Khodorkovsky Scholarships
The Khodorkovsky Scholarships are specifically designed to support citizens of Russia wishing to undertake a second degree at Durham University. It is the intention of the scholarship programme that Scholars make a meaningful contribution to the development of Russia and promote east/west understanding. The scholarship covers full payment of annual tuition fees, an annual stipend for living costs (UKRI rates 2025/26 £20,780.00 for postgraduate students), as well as Immigration Health Surcharge and Visa application fees. Eligible candidates must be Russian citizens ordinarily resident in Russia who have undertaken a first degree at a Russian university. Recipients should confirm that they hope to return to Russia for at least one year after completion of their studies when circumstances arise making it appropriate for such return, to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Russia and promote east/west understanding. The scholarships are available for all in-person academic degree programmes at Durham University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for students commencing in October 2026.
Fulbright - Durham University Award
The Fulbright Award offers generous financial support to postgraduate applicants wishing to pursue a one-year Masters or higher research programme in the UK. One Fulbright - Durham University Award will be offered to applicants from the US wishing to pursue a one-year Masters or higher research programme (or the first year of a Masters or higher research degree programme) in any eligible programme at Durham University. The award offers generous financial support for one year of study in the UK, including full payment of tuition fees along with an allowance towards general maintenance costs whilst in the UK. The personal living allowance is intended to help cover the cost of living in the UK as a student and is subject to annual review. Additionally, the award includes organizational memberships, membership to national arts and culture organizations, sickness and accident coverage, and networking opportunities.
Chevening Scholarships
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's fully funded global scholarship programme, sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK. Durham University is proud to partner with Chevening, offering Open Awards and 10 Partnership Awards open to applicants from all Chevening-eligible countries. All scholarships are of equal value and follow the same application process. Most Chevening Scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate for one individual, an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants to cover essential expenditure. The scholarships are available for one-year full-time taught Master's degree programmes commencing in 2026, and applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country and intend to return there for a minimum of two years after the award has finished.
