Bergen kommune provides grants for the purchase and installation of home charging stations for taxi drivers who own or are in the process of acquiring an electric taxi. The subsidy scheme is designed to support the transition to electric taxis in Bergen municipality by helping cover the costs of charging equipment at drivers' homes. The grant is 10,000 Norwegian kroner per charging station, limited to 50% of approved costs. Only one charging station per taxi license is eligible for support. The scheme covers only the costs of purchasing and installing the charging station itself, not the charging infrastructure. Recipients commit to operating the charging station for 5 years and are responsible for maintenance during this period.
