Buskerud fylkeskommune offers funding for large national and international sports and physical activity events in the Buskerud region. The grant program aims to stimulate large-scale sports events and develop a coordinated regional effort on events with regional, national and international significance. This initiative strengthens cooperation, innovation and volunteerism within sports and physical activity in Buskerud. The county aims to create a network for event organizers focused on event development. The grant supports expenses related to planning, project management and implementation of national and international sporting events. Priority is given to events that demonstrate increased attractiveness and value creation for Buskerud, with the goal of attracting participants and audiences from outside the county. Events must be based on the UN's sustainable development goals covering economic, environmental and social sustainability.
